JavaScript super powers
I’ve pushed a new iteration of the “Front to Back” plugin to GitHub implementing the postMessage transport system supported by the Theme Customizer.
The plugin builds on Kirki to abstract those functionalities and the library really makes that interaction an almost painless experience.
The plugin allows for live editing of single page title, excerpt, content and meta from within the Theme Customizer and while that feature is still missing for the featured image I will work on that next.
Left to-dos for this iteration
Given the small scope of this iteration (see the previous post) what’s left to put in place is:
- featured image live editing
- Theme Customizer modifications to allow for a better experience on larger screens
- bugs, I’ve found some I have to get rid of
